Confidence in Relationship
Series: 1 John
This Week's Reading: 1 John 5:13-21
This Week's Reflection Questions:
What did you notice in this section that concludes 1 John?
Read verse 16. Think about how you typically respond when you hear or see a fellow believer sinning. Do you talk to God or others about them first? Do you minimize or exaggerate the situation due to preference of the person?
Verses 14-15 mention that we can be confident that God hears and answers our requests when they are aligned with His will. How have you reconciled this truth with times where you don't feel like God is listening to you? How can these verses encourage you going forward in times of doubt?

Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
